About Aikyashree Scholarship
The Aikyashree Scholarship is an initiative by the West Bengal Government to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis). The scheme aims to promote education among economically backward minority students.
Key Features:
- Financial support for school, college, and professional courses
- Separate schemes for pre-matric and post-matric students
- Special focus on girl students with higher scholarship amounts
- Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to student’s bank account
- Online application and tracking system
Eligibility Criteria
- Must belong to minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi)
- Must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
- Family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh per annum
- Minimum 50% marks in last qualifying examination (relaxed for SC/ST students)
- Must be enrolled in a recognized educational institution
- Not availing any other state or central minority scholarship

| Girl Students (Additional) | +₹5,000 |
Note: Differently-abled students receive additional benefits.
Application Process
- Visit the official Aikyashree Scholarship Portal
- Click on “New Registration” and fill in basic details
- Verify mobile number via OTP
- Complete the application form with personal, academic, and bank details
- Upload scanned copies of required documents
- Submit the application and note the application ID
- Take a printout for future reference
Required Documents:
- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Aadhaar Card (student & parent/guardian)
- Income Certificate (issued by competent authority)
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate
- Bank passbook (first page with IFSC)
- Previous year’s mark sheet
- Current year admission proof
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
